Our Aims
Since opening in 2007, The Alma Bi Hospital has operated with the principle aim of providing free healthcare to the poor. The need for this service is acute in a country where the majority of rural people live in severe poverty, yet free healthcare is extremely rare.
Many first time patients at the hospital have never received any formal medical care, not even basic pain relief. And so, as the hospital looks to grow towards a more financially self-sufficient future, this core principle will always remain at the heart of its activities.
