Welcome to The Alma Hospital Trust

Welcome to the home of the the Alma Hospital Trust, a charity started by Mohammed Younis in 1995 to bring free healthcare to one of Pakistan's poorest regions.

Mohammed, a postman now living in Watford (UK), began the AHT after a series of family tragedies in his home district of Hafizabad, Pakistan. An injury to his young son and the loss of his mother to Leukemia brought home just how much the local population suffered in the absence of even basic healthcare. It inspired him to undertake the formidable task of building the first hospital in the district, providing free healthcare for the entire population.

After more than 12 years of tireless campaigning, Mohammed's dream finally became reality in 2008, with the completion and partial opening of the hospital. However, he still desperately needs your help to fund and maintain this inspirational project into the future.
